MEET NADIA
ROCHELLE
No stranger to the stage, Nadia has been performing in various aspects of arts since the tender age of 8. Though her family got the first glimpse of her star capabilities when she was singing with her father at age 3, she got her initial start on the cafeteria stage of Virginia Pack Elementary School. As a theater novice but valiant fourth-grader, she stood in front of an audience of her peers and performed Paul Laurence Dunbar's “In The morning” completely from memory. Every moment since then, this actress, singer, comedian, and dancer has illuminated the stage, appearing in several ballets, such as "The Nutcracker", “The Buried Moon”, “Mufarro's Beautiful Daughter’s”, “The Black Nativity”, and more. She has starred and supported in a number of stage plays, art productions, and musicals including “Tell the Devil I Changed My Mind”, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” as Dorothy, “I Dream of a World”, Trustus Theater’s “Crowns” and “Strom in Limbo”, Human Collective's “Alone-ology”, hit play “Church Girl” by Angela Barrow-Dunlap with a star-studded cast that included A’ngela Winbush, Sean Blakemore, Robin Givens, Demetria McKinney, Karen Clark-Sheard, Drew Sidora, Wanda Nero-Butler and more. Among some of her most notable roles is performing as co-star to Palmer Williams, Jr. in his hit play, "For The Love Of..." and her hipster granny role in the riveting show “Head Over Heels” written and directed by Atlanta’s own dynamic playwright, Lolita Snipes.
An avid lover of the arts, Nadia has also had the opportunity to have her passion shaped by the directing and dancing tutelage of theater and choreography greats such as Jim Thigpen, Jocelyn Sanders, Lena Clay, Cereasa Crouch, Walter Rutledge, Donna Lewis, Barbara Howse-Diemer, Gail Griffin-Etheredge, Lauren Cox, Sheila Barker, and several others.
This creative has most enjoyably traveled abroad, using her mellifluous voice to represent God and inspire many along the way. Her travels have taken her as far as Montego Bay Jamaica, Los Angeles, California, Chiang Mai, Thailand, and London, England. In addition, she was featured as a soloist in 2003 with Johnifer Q. Fashion and the College of Charleston's gospel choir on "Good Morning America" as well as on the choir’s first cd, produced in 1999. Nadia also sang for 12 years with one of the country’s most renowned gospel groups, Mike Brown and F.O.C.U.S, and was featured as a soloist on their first album, "Heart of a Worshiper". For 6 years, she also had the distinct honor of singing and traveling the country with one of gospel music's most powerfully anointed and incomparable choirs, Kevin Lemons and Higher Calling, based out of Atlanta, GA. Her diverse vocal prowess has rendered her the privilege of doing background vocals for the likes of Anthony Hamilton, Blanche McAlister-Dykes, Jonathan Nelson, Rae Ellis, Catina Rosemond, Erica Campbell, Yolanda Adams, Hezekiah Walker, Donald Lawrence, Bebe Winans, Tye Tribbett, Rodney Jerkins, and the list goes on.

Her undeniable talents and abilities have expanded to even the modeling arena, being photographed for Skirt Magazine (smile model), Above Rubies Magazine (fitness model), Terrell Smith Couture (hair/fashion model), Tyrone “T Money” Holmes (fashion) and Bobby Lorenzo Entertainment (fashion), DeAngelo Marquis, and Eva Marquee. To further diversify her performance offerings, Nadia added comedy to her repertoire, gracing the stage with her standup act at the top of 2014.
As of October 15, 2020, Nadia will expand her greatness into the world of authorship with her first published book “The Chronicles of Nadia”, an inspirational guide to truth, vitality, and spirituality.
She readily recognizes herself as a multi-dimensional being and a co-creator with God who explores the limitless possibilities of all that is. She says of herself: “I realize...I'm not a human being having a spiritual experience, rather I'm a spiritual being having a human experience. I'm here to be a light. Every time I employ any one of my gifts, it is my opportunity to do the 'light work' I was sent to do. I enjoy performing because I get to draw people into their own moments of divine healing. I admire all of the divine healers who use their gifts as teaching tools of mental, emotional, spiritual, and social healing, and I respect their commitment to allowing their lives to awaken others to that very consciousness. I'm inspired by the lack, wounds, hurts, pains, voids, deficiencies in and of the collective community...it's the fuel that keeps my light burning in the darkness. I'm grateful to be a conduit for love and light. I Am a vessel. I Am an agent of healing. I Am light. I Am Love. I exist because there is a need. I am...because you are!”
